The XX Team is financially incentivized to help companies in the Wefunder portfolio succeed. The Lead Investor is hired by the XX team for a specific company.
The XX is a competitive accelerator with the last batch having a 1% acceptance rate.

The XX Accelerator program has been an incredible experience so far. From my cohort batch-mates, our advisors, to the guest speakers, its been both a paradigm shift in entrepreneurship for myself and a time of founder and company growth. Our advisor who we work closely work with, Daniel Ha, has been instrumental in us getting closer to product market fit and our ability to pivot correctly. His background as a technical founder of a company that also created Saas (software as a service) products for publications is the perfect match for us as a company. Daniel is the founder of Disqus which is a commenting system for publications' CMS's and was sold for $100 million USD.
Our cohort batch-mates are also working on some really fascinating problems and they have given us great advice along the way! We've already begun soft partnerships, one of them being Musaic, which is a company aimed at changing the music industry by changing how artists get paid and interact with their fans.
Lastly, meeting the other incredible guest speakers along the way is another highlight of the program. Most of these founders have deep experience in their respective fields and have failed at numerous things along the way but have also quickly learned and excelled from those failures. In short, it's an amazing opportunity to hear learn from these veteran founders. Connecting with these founders have been very impactful for us as a company. We recently had Erica Johnson, founder of Modern Health (https://www.modernhealth.com/) which was given a $1 billion dollar valuation! Hearing that definitely pours inspiration into what we are doing and gives us the knowledge that achieve that grand vision is more than possible!
We’ve definitely had some significant paradigm shifts going through the XX. From learning about other founder’s struggles & successes, finding our product/market fit, and knowing that anyone’s grand vision is always within reach.
