Varun Sharma is a tech entrepreneur, developer, political scientist, and UBC graduate.

He is currently a co-founder & CTO of Ad Auris, a b2b SaaS company. Ad Auris is a narration tool for publishers, enabling written content to be instantly transformed into rich audio experiences. As an audiophile himself he’s passionate about  Ad Auris’s mission which is to help publishers & content creators create greater value from each piece of their writing by increasing accessibility and driving content engagement throughout the day through audio. 

Before Ad Auris, Varun has had a plethora of leadership experience working in several roles such as Director General of UBCMUN, Chief of Staff, Executive of Operations, and VP of several UBC associations. During his time at UBC as a political science student he was a particularly unconventional avid competitor in business-tech hackathons such as BOLT, BizTech, HackTheNorth, & NwHacks which are some of the largest hackathons in the country. Outside of his large appetite for tech, Varun was a determined competitor in policy, debate, and Model United Nations competitions, achieving over 12 awards.

If Varun had one superpower it would be his resourcefulness. Coming from a challenging upbringing, Varun learned to either sink or swim far. Whether if it’s a lack of resources such as knowledge for a new skill, capital for a start up, or simply making the absolute best out of a given situation, Varun will find ways to stretch, twist, turn, and flip those resources to make it happen!
